As a cinematographer, Matti's roots lie in skateboarding and snowboarding. Working in demanding terrain and conditions has taught him to move and operate naturally, following the flow of natural light. The nuances of light, shadow and colour fascinate him and are at the core of his image-making. Above all, Matti wants his images to tell a story — one with atmosphere that stays with the viewer.
